Waiting for green

The light turns to amber
My thoughts start to wander
That song i did not sing,
those faraway stars shining
Those tears i did not cry,
those fears that did not die
Those other lives i did not lead,
the voices in my head that i paid no heed
Those moments that i did not seize,
the pain that dulls but does not ease
Those feelings i did not admit,
the inconsistencies i did not permit
I ask myself, will life always be on hold,
the answer is within me, i am told.
